So, my dad left for Texas today. It's sad to see him leave. It kinda feels loney in the house right now without him.
Well, I guess I should explain why he left. He works for a union and they called for 400 electricans to go to Texas to help with the Hurrican Ike stuff. He is gonna be staying in a hotel with another guy from his union. He gets to be a man and hang with the guys. He is gonna be gone for a couple of months, but it will be over before we know it.
My mom is kinda sad about it. She was crying thirty minutes after he left. It's sad to see her sad, but it's sweet cause she loves him so much. So I will be sleeping in her bed tonight with the girls. Please keep my dad in your prayers.

Well, first and foremost I am a sinner saved by grace through faith. I am not perfect by any means, I just desire and crave a life that is pleasing and glorifing to God.
I was born in Germany and now I live here in Alabama. I live with my mom, dad, brother: David, and sister: Amanda. I have three cats: Skully, Bear, and Little Bit, as well as two Guinea pigs: Nova and Koga. I also have three dogs: Nikida, Sarah, and Sadie. Yes my home is a zoo. We also have neighborhood cats and dogs but that another story. I work at Walgreens where I count all day. If you're wondering, I do use all ten fingers and all ten toes. J/K! Seriously, I'm just kidding! Anyways, I just graudated from Jeff State with my Associates in Biology. I started UAB this fall and I will go on to become a physical therapist and specialize in the children's department.

You have to look at it from this point of view. Your dad is a really great person for helping probably hundreds, maybe even thousands who are left without power. You would hope that they would do the same for you. I think it is an amazing thing and I really wish our job would send us to help with crises like that. It would feel really amazing to help. I think you should just really pray for him and all the people that are there. He is doing a good thing, believe me. Ya'll will do just fine. I will keep ya'll in my prayers. Love ya.

Yes, it's hard, but after 6 months I had to learn how to adapt to him being back!
